NUMC Conducts a Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive for Dialysis Patients.

CSEA members from Nassau University Medical Center Dialysis staff and staff's family, friends and physicians contributed towards the food drive for needy dialysis patients and their families.

When the volunteers first started collecting, they had planned for 8 baskets but were fortunate to make 14 baskets and one baking basket with a cookie jar which was donated by Colombus Ngo.

The staff collected non perishables items such as stuffings, yams, crackers, soups, cookies, sardines, corn, peas, string beans, cereals, dried fruits etc.  The food baskets were collected and packed by Maria Dubinsky and Nina Chohan with the beautiful baskets donated by Helen Lavas.
