MINEOLA- CSEA Local 830 presented a floral arrangement at the Nassau County Police Department’s annual Police Memorial Service on the morning of May 13. Local 830 2nd V.P. and Police Civilian Unit Debra Imperatore represented the Local. Also presenting was Mary DelMare of the Crossing Guards, Lawrence Loiselle of AMT’s and Chris Roberto, Treasurer of the Police Civilian Unit.
Hundreds of police officers, dignitaries, and residents were on hand to pay tribute to the 29 Nassau County Police Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the department’s 83 year history, along with 70 past and active Police Department employees who have left us in the past 12 months.
181 law enforcement officers died nationwide in 2007, and they will be added to the 18,277 names on the National Memorial in Washington D.C. |
