CSEA Local 830 was proud to celebrate our Emergency Dispatchers from the Communications Bureau and Fire Communications at the Nassau County Legislature’s April #TopResponders recognition, following National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

On May 20, 2024, while responding to a stabbing, Nassau County Police Medic and CSEA Local 830 member Josh Sgro’s ambulance was rear-ended—ejecting him from the vehicle. Despite his injuries, he continued helping others at the scene.
